This collection is the first part to my Fall '16 project. In contrast to my second set of prints (pictured below), I wanted this collection to focus on line-work and gestural, natural shapes. I used pen to outline the designs and add detail and then went over the line-work with a watercolor wash. The color palette used is also another contrast to my second collection. I went with warm analogous colors to highlight the florals.
For this collection, I wanted to focus on creating an aesthetic that reflected graphic design but done by hand; keeping outlines to a minimum and using bold colors. I chose contrasting colors in order to have certain elements of each design stand out. The lemon print is the main (12x12), and the other two are the coordinates (9x9).
